Speaker Bio
Meet Chisa Miller, a woman leading with passion and teaching for change. As an accomplished trainer, facilitator and public speaker, Chisa brings a big bundle of enthusiasm and energy into every room. Prior to dedicating her life to diversity, equality and inclusion (DEI) education, you could find Chisa in Las Vegas working as the Casino Operations Manager at the Excalibur Hotel & Casino. Itwas under this role that she attended, and fell in love with, her first inclusion and diversity class, opening the doors for her true calling and leading her to where she is today.
Chisa is a woman on a mission to impact the way we interact with and understand each other. She believes in the power of story-telling and the willingness to listen to others. She strives to help others unlock their full potential, encouraging them to make the decision to rise up and show up for what they believe in. She stands by the importance of seeing the humanness in others, guided by the principle that we do not have to be “one of” to “stand with.”
As a consultant and DEI educator, Chisa believes in the power of not only having a diverse team but having each team member feel valued and part of the mission. She knows quality leadership is hard work and takes practice, vulnerability and courage. She looks at the topics of diversity, equality and inclusion as far more than buzz words. In her practice, DEI education and leadership training are more than checking a box. When it comes to her work, Chisa strives to encourage others to consider how we can bring each other into existence every. single. day.
She has created and facilitated numerous training courses that focus on cultural shifts, implicit bias, leadership, and high-performance teams. She has delivered keynote speeches and training programs captivating audiences of Fortune 500 companies (including Four Seasons and Wynn Resorts) and law enforcement (including LAPD, SFPD, MCSO), as well as federal, state and local governments. Chisa holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Rutgers University and a Master of Science in Psychology with a concentration in Industrial-Organizational Psychology from the University of Phoenix.
In addition to being a change-maker and a thought shaker, Chisa enjoys hiking, camping, and spending time with her husband and their two sons at their home in Colorado.
